Winter Time Drivers

Here in east central Illinois our Winter weather has been quite tiring. Maybe thats it....but my rage against drivers who drive stupid is growing.

Daytime driving with a heavy cloud cover, light to moderate rain, snow, sleet, fog, you name the Winter time condition....and people refuse to drive with their headlights on! Visibilities reduced....so are most of these drivers brain function. What's so damned difficult about making the decision to turn on your lights?

Trying to pass someone on a two lane roadway, water is spraying around the vehicle/truck reducing the ability to see any oncoming vehicles coming at me....then from out of the fog comes some idiot without headlights.

The problem seems to exist among all models of cars, trucks, even semis, but I have found that the most popular vehicles being driven by these who are determined to go unnoticed on the roadways are Buicks....with a close second being all pick up trucks.

I would encourage local police departments to give tickets....who knows, the fines may pull a lot of municipalities out of any budget shortfalls they may be experiencing.

Now....about the turn signals.....
